dBpoweramp Audio CD to FLAC ripping guide
Download dBpoweramp Music Converter v.R12.4 Reference Edition
Install dBpoweramp Reference.
Download and install FLAC codec for dBpoweramp.
Make sure no audio CD is in your drive.
You can now take two roads. It is recommended for Windows XP users to use A approach.
A) Semi-automatic
(If you're windows XP user download and run this file)
Run dBpoweramp CD ripper.
Select flacsongs.com-FLAC8 from Profile dropdown in left bottom corner.
Select your drive from CD Drive dropdown.
Insert original CD and let Accurate rip configure your drive
Click Options button/Secure settings button/Detect button (right of "Drive Read Cache")
B) Manual
Run dBpoweramp CD ripper.
Click on Profile dropdown in bottom left corner, and select [Create Profile]
Dialog will pop-up asking you for New profile Name. Use something self explaining like flac-8.
Click on CD drive dropdown and select your drive.
Click on "Rip to" dropdown and select FLAC.
On the encoder tab click on Compression dropdown and select compression level 8 (Best)
Insert Audio CD
Let AccurateRip Set up Drive offset. (if it doesn't recognize your CD as a key disk try other one)
Click Options button
For Ripping Method Select secure (Recover Errors).
Click Secure Settings button on the right.
Check Enable Ultra Secure Ripping
Click Detect right of "Drive Read Cache"
Check Mark Track as Error if Insecure
Click Report Contents dropdown and select Complete
Check Write To File
That's it you're ready to rip :)
Right click any track and click "Rip Selected"
